Campaign for the California Nurses Foundation

Tax deductible
Social distancing has been greatly beneficial, but will result in hospitals around the United States losing a lot of money. Hospitals in the Bay Area are expecting losses to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars, meaning they will have to cut their expenses.

The first place this will come is through cutting personnel, through layoffs, salary cuts, or furloughs of nurses, respiratory therapists, and other frontline personnel that are working hard now to care for coronavirus patients, putting themselves at risk. It does not seem fair that people in our community that are placing their own lives at risk to save the lives of others could have their salaries cut or be laid off. In spite of their hard-fought efforts, these health care workers could potentially lose the ability to take care of their families.

For this reason, I am reaching out to you for donations to support nurses in California, because they have sacrificed themselves for the health of our community and deserve to be rewarded, not punished, for that. You can donate directly to this Go-Fund-Me page for this cause and 100% of these donations will be given to the California Nurses Association.
