My name is Geri and I’m fundraising for STOG missions (Solution to our generation), a charity that provides rescue, relief, rehabilitation and resettlement for adults and children that have been caught up in the atrocities happening in Nigeria.
This charity has been operating since 2011 and in the last few years has been very involved in northern Nigeria, helping to rescue children, young adults and adults from bushes, providing hospital care for the injured, feeding and housing for 100s of families.
The charity currently has 91 orphaned children in 2 homes. One in Kaduna and one in Ibadan. The photos here show first day of school for some children and some of the boys getting haircuts just before starting school back in September.
The work is overwhelming but they keep going. Your help will mean more families who have been attached by extremists in the north of Nigeria can receive help that will get them back on their feet.
The rescued people need food to eat, clothes to wear, houses to live in because theirs have been burnt down with all their possessions. Children need school fees. All need trauma therapy. There is no help from government. In some cases, entire communities wiped out. You wouldn’t see this in the news. You can find news about what is happening in Nigeria on websites like Release International and Open Doors International. Please help, nothing is too small.
All monies raised will be used to provide the above help for the orphaned children.
Thank you!
