Camp Pumziko 2022

Camp Pumziko is a national camp that serves multi-gendered youth ages six through seventeen and is a program of Community Aid Development (CAD), the New Afrikan People's Organization and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. The activities offered teach political, cultural, and historical subjects while incorporating outdoor camping skills. Camp Pumziko has been training youth for over twenty-five years about wilderness survival, self-determination and sustainability of culture and community from an African-centered perspective, all while having fun! Our staff of volunteers fly and drive in from around the nation to support the consistency and growth of our camp.

Due to the global pandemic, we've been unable to hold our national camp since 2019. We are working to return this year with strong COVID-19 protocols in place. In order to do so, we need your help to raise at least $10,000.  CAD is a 501c3 and your donations are tax-deductible.

Camp Pumziko is planned this year at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia from July 10-16, 2022!
