Hi everyone,

Back in November, my siblings and I arranged a fundraising challenge to support glioblastoma research — a cause that has tragically affected our family more than once.

Almost 14 years ago, we lost our uncle to glioblastoma. More recently, our dad was diagnosed with the same devastating disease, and heartbreakingly, he has since passed away. What began as a fundraiser while he was still with us has now become something we’re doing in his memory, and in honour of both him and our uncle.

What we’re doing…

Our original plan was to take part in an overnight camp-out challenge, but due to changes in circumstances and to ensure everyone’s safety, we’ve adapted the challenge.

On the 25th April 2026 (weather permitting), we will be hiking Mount Snowdon. We want this challenge to be physically demanding while remaining safe, which is why the exact date will depend on conditions. Taking on Snowdon felt like a meaningful way to channel our determination into something positive.

Where your donations will go…

Every penny raised will be donated directly to a glioblastoma research charity — specifically the Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer) Research campaign founded by the University of Liverpool.

GoFundMe requires the organiser to withdraw the funds first, so once the fundraiser ends, I will withdraw the full amount and donate it in full to the charity. I will share proof of donation so you can see exactly where the money has gone.

Why this means so much…

Glioblastoma is an aggressive and devastating cancer with limited treatment options. More research is urgently needed, and your support helps fund progress that could change outcomes for families in the future.
