Hi my names darcie, im 15 from Essex,

Our school reached out and told us about this amazing opportunity how we could travel to Costa rica ..( hopefully my first time on a plane ) for 4 weeks.

I am thrilled to say I have secured a place to travel there as a volunteer and im reaching out to fundraise to help towards this trip, the amount is £5520 as this is part of our journey expedition, learning new ways to be self suffienct and problem solving .

Ill have the chance to do a 5 day open water scuba diving course and get involved with how camps internationals help the people out there.

I will be able to offer support in a variety of meaningful and sustainable projects along side them and many others involved and the locals of the area, adventures that im ready to explore and cultural immersion that im intrigued to learn about , all this is a life changing experience and something amazing to offer back .

Whilst there ill be able to help and improve the Community's infrastructures within the village, this could include communal structures for community events and other important facilities to be used and needed for the locals .

I will be able to get involved with the marine conservation projects and support clean ups of the beach for our wildlife, also with the environmental projects and protecting our turtles and their ecosystem .

Ill get to live in the heart of it all and get really stuck in doing my part to help make change for the better.

With this i have come up with some other ideas to help raise the amount, doing my own art drawings to sell, and walking all around my town, mile after mile.
