Camp Fire Relief for Pew Family

Donation protected
My name is Lisa Wilson Armstrong and my sister and her family lived in Paradise, CA on November 8th, 2018.  On behalf of them I am asking for your help.

Stacy, Brett, Connor (16), and Bailey (18) woke up on Nov 8th in Paradise, Ca thinking it was any other day - just hours later they were fleeing their hometown for their lives.  Luckily they are all safe and unharmed, but their home of 16 years is in ashes.  There was no time to get any momentos, photos, papers, passports, etc from the house as the police were pounding on the car window telling Stacy to get out and run. Their dog, Maggie, was frightened and ran away before they could get her into the car - we are hopeful that she is ok and are calling the shelters daily to see if she has been found.

This amazing family is currently in Sacramento with 6400 other homeowners from Paradise who now find themselves homeless.   Connor's school Paraside High and Bailey's college are ok and will begin classes after the thanksgiving holiday.

Both Brett and Stacy are employed with Paradise Unified School District. Stacy's school, Honey Run Academy,  they hope to resume classes in a limited capacity after the holiday as well.  Brett's school, Pineridge,  may be okay (as well as his car that is still in the parking lot), but nothing has been confirmed as they are not allowed to entrance for another few days.

My sister's family has lost everything except one car (Connor's car and you know how teenagers like to share anything that is theirs. LOL).  They will have to replace all their belongings - clothes, shoes, toiletries, computers, everything that you have in a house and their house and at least one vehicle.  They hope to be able to find a rental home soon but it may be a long distance away as there is limited availability and a huge demand with so many homeless families from the Paradise community.
They are currently in a hotel in Sacramento as this was the closest location where lodging was available. (Sacramento is 90 min from Paradise).  Insurance has provided a rental car as well as the hotel lodging.  Insurance is requiring documentation of the current state of the house - once they are allowed back into Paradise they will be able to provide this.

Any donations will be so greatly appreciated by Stacy and her family as well as by me and the whole extended Wilson family.
