I am Michael Prescott. My wife, and mother to our daughter Lily, passed away quite unexpectedly on October 12th, 2019. She was 42. Andrea was active in Camp Fire Girls and Boys from early elementary school through her college years. As such, Camp El Tesoro held a particularly special place in her heart. El Tesoro was a place of many happy memories for her as a camper, CIT, counselor, and administrative staff member. We were married in the Chapel at El Tesoro and it was the first place she wanted to take our daughter to experience the outdoors. So, it holds a very special place in my heart as well. 

Therefore, I can think of no better way to honor her memory, her love of the outdoors, and her desire to love and serve others than to plant a tree to give shade and build a bench to provide a quiet place to rest on-site at El Tesoro. The funds I am raising are for the purpose of purchasing a durable bench, purchasing and planting a native tree, and providing a memorial plaque. My hope is to be able to move forward with erecting Andrea's memorial by October of 2020.

The time frame and requirements are subject to parameters set by Camp Fire Girls and Boys. They will have final approval over where, how and when the memorial can be completed. However, Camp Fire Girls and Boys has no means of designating donations within their general fund to a particular purpose, in a particular person's name. Through this campaign, I will be able to collect the needed funds and work with Camp Fire Girls and Boys to create a lasting and fitting memorial to Andrea.
