Paradise Home Burnt Down-Camp Fire

Donation protected
Early Thursday morning Nov 8th a fire came uncontrollably sweeping through the very small town of Paradise at a rate of about 80 football fields per minute destroying everything in its path. My sister Kristina who lives there and works at Feather River Hospital stayed back to help evacuate patients and by the time she was leaving everything was on fire around her including the hospital. As she raced for her life down the hill through the flames she crashed head on into a CHP officer and totaled her car which then caught fire. By some miracle she was able to kick the door open and get out only to start running and then jump into a strangers car to make it out alive.

Once out of the flames she called her mother Marianne who lives in the heart of paradise to find she had been evacuated (thankfully in time) but only had 10 minutes to get out leaving everything behind going up in flames only able to grab her pets and the clothes on her back.

It has just been confirmed that Marianne's House and pretty much the entire town is completely gone. While we are most grateful that they are out alive and safe she has now lost her home and everything she owns. Hopefully they can use this money to start buying some of the main things they will need now, clothes, food, shoes, toiletries. Kristina's purse burned in her car after the crash so now she's battling not having an ID or any form of anything which has been a nightmare.

I wanted to create this go fund me for them because these two women are some of the most selfless and giving people I have ever known. Their hearts are huge and I know even after everything they have just been through they would still give someone the shirts off their backs if they needed it because that is who they are. Please if you can give any small thing to help out my family I know they would be so incredibly grateful.

The fire is still burning and is up to 70,000 acres and we will continue to pray for the loss and devastation of this unimaginable situation for everyone as they know they are not alone and this is going to be a very hard and difficult road ahead.

Thank you all in advanced <3
