Yesterday morning, my cousin, Haley, her fiancee, and their four dogs, as well as my uncle and his family were evacuated from their homes in Paradise, CA due to the Camp Fire.  By the end of the day, everything was lost - their homes, the hospital and clinic where my cousin works are all believed to be completely destroyed.  It is now believed the entire town of Paradise has been devoured by the fire, which consumed the equivalent of 18 football fields a minute. 

While we are extremely grateful that they are all alive and safe, their losses are unimaginable and they will have to rebuild their lives from the ground up.  Haley just told me, "I keep hoping it's not real."   I am calling on my generous and loving friends and family to please give what you can to help.  We don't even understand the full scope of what they need - they left with just their animals and the clothes on their backs. What will help them get through the most right now is money so they can keep a roof over their heads and begin the long process of recovery.
