Camp Fire Fund For CHP Families
A wildfire raced across Butte County on Thursday, 11/08/18, reducing the Northern California town of Paradise to ashes. Multiple California Highway Patrol officers (and their families), who are residents of Paradise and surrounding areas, tragically lost their homes in the fire (we believe as many as 12 total as of today, 11/10/18).
The officers affected are assigned to both the Chico and Oroville Area CHP offices. Despite great personal loss, they are still out there, working under emergency conditions to serve their neighbors and their community.
The Antelope Valley Squad Club 545, a nonprofit 501 (c) 4 social welfare organization dedicated to the needs of CHP officers, is raising funds to address the immediate needs of the affected CHP families in the Butte County area. Support is needed for temporary shelter, clothing, and food. We believe long term support is also needed to help these families begin to rebuild. All funds raised will be disbursed to California Highway Patrol officers and their families impacted by this tragedy.
