Help Melanie minister to teens at Camp Desales!

Hello to whoever is reading this now! I am blessed that you have taken time out of your busy schedule to read this!

My name is Melanie Whipple. I love spending time with my friends and family, playing with my puppies, and watching sunsets. I also love playing any and every game, from pickleball to volleyball to cornhole, and everything in between. Anyways, let's get to the part that you came here for.

Ever since I can remember, I have always loved helping others and making people feel loved and appreciated. Whether that was celebrating a victory or offering a shoulder to cry on, I love being there for others in times of joy and times of sadness. As my relationship with the Lord grew, I was constantly learning how to love others the way Christ loves us. This love is what gives me a purpose in life, and drives every decision I make. With this, I have learned how to find joy amidst suffering, using prayer as my strength and shield. I am just someone who wants to spread the good news and the love that Jesus Christ has to offer every person. Recently, Romans 8:31 has played a huge role in my prayer life.

"If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?"

This Bible verse reminds me that no matter how hard life can get, Christ's unconditional love will never fail. This love is the firm foundation that I have built my life upon, and I wish that everyone would come to know it. He loves you so much.

With that in mind, I am going to be a senior at Bowling Green State University this fall, and I was chosen to be a missionary this summer at Camp Desales!

I am so excited to be a missionary and to journey with these teens and help them to encounter the Lord. Whether that be through messy games involving mud and soap, through vulnerable moments in prayer and adoration, or anything in between. I am so excited to love and minister to these teens.

Now, this is where you step in! I can't do this alone and I need your help! To minister to these teens the best I can, I need financial support. I am expected to raise $2,000 for this camp, and every dollar counts. I would request anyone reading this to consider this. Any, and I mean any contributions are MUCH appreciated!
