Thursday July 5th, little 4 year old Camiyah underwent a MRI in Greenville, NC and it was discovered that she had a brain tumor that could possibly be malignant. Friday July 6th she was transported to Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte. She underwent brain surgery Saturday morning to remove as much of the tumor possible located on her brain stem. Little Camiyah has had a rough time with her recovery thus far. The Doctor was able to remove 90% of the tumor. The tumor is a brain stem glioma and located at the part of the brain stem that controls breathing, heart rate, nerves, muscles, seeing, hearing, walking, talking and eating. She has now contracted pneumonia and will soon have to have a feeding tube and a possible tracheotomy. Her oxygen levels are low. Her parents are both with her in Charlotte and are unable to work at this time. They are separated from their other 3 children which had to stay behind with friends. They are staying in a hotel room near the hospital due to there is no room at the Ronald McDonald house at this time. Funds would be helpful for expenses they will incur and are incurring in Charlotte as well as back home. We want Camiyah's parents to concentrate on being there for her and not worrying about how to pay for their expenses. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated as well as prayers for little Camiyah's health and wellness. Thank you for your support in advance..
