Help Us Learn in D.C.!
On June 5, 2016, 24 of our 8th grade students at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy Kayne Siart will travel to our nation's capital. While in Washignton, D.C., our students will participate in the Close Up Foundation's civic education program and do more than tour the historic sites of our country. They will also participate in workshops where they will interact and debate with students from across the country. Their cultural literacy and understanding of democracy will go beyond the textbook, and they will learn what it means to be an active and informed citizen.
Our students are hardworkers and determined. They are excited for this opportunity. They also come from some of the most socio-economically challenged neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and the program cost of $1682 can be a huge financial burden. However, we strongly believe that their circumstances should not prevent them from attending this life-changing experience.
Please consider donating any amount. Your generosity will directly support a life-changing experience for our exceptional students. Thank you!

Who We Are
Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) is a community of high-performing public schools that utilizes a comprehensive approach to prepare students from preschool through high school for success in college and in life. We integrate academic rigor, community, family, and wellness to empower students to thrive in a culturally connected and changing world.
Camino Nuevo Charter Academy, Kayne Siart (formerly Harvard), is a high-performing K-8 school located just north of MacArthur Park in Koreatown. The school has been in operation since 2001 and serves approximately 550 students per year in a college-preparatory environment. The vast majority of our students come to us from Spanish-speaking homes, living below the poverty line. Students who attended CNCA Kayne Siart have been accepted into a wide-range of colleges and universities, including universities within the CSU and UC system, Ivy League universities, small liberal arts colleges, and many public out-of-state universities.
Our Mission
The mission of Camino Nuevo Charter Academy is to educate students in a college preparatory program to be literate, critical thinkers, and independent problem solvers who are agents of social justice with sensitivity toward the world around them.
