Hi everyone! My name is Rostislav, father to Vitto, who has FOXP1 syndrome — a rare genetic disorder. Starting Sept 8, I will walk on the Camino de Santiago in Spain to raise awareness, support therapies, and inspire hope.
The One Mission of Camino de Vitto can’t be explained in three seconds — because besides being a love story, it’s also about transparency and honesty. It’s about me and my family, and what we are ready to say to every single person we meet, while doing what we do.
THE ONE MISSION OF CAMINO DE VITTO (The Way of Life):
1.It’s a promise to my little Vitto — that I will do anything for him, no matter what, to see him walking in the best possible way on his own path of life.
2.It’s about building relationships and connections based on love, and finding the most direct and effective Camino (path) to healing and integrating children affected by FOXp1 Syndrome.
3.It’s a mission to raise 18,000 pounds for our friends at the Kind Beter Foundation (Foundation Child Well), who will use the funds to:
Support research aimed at finding treatment for FOXP1 Syndrome
Help other families in need who are facing similar challenges.
4.It’s a message to the world to say:
If everyone does what they’re best at — everything is possible.
One person may be good at one thing, someone else at another.
But when we connect, collaborate, and give our best — that’s the fastest way to support and heal those affected by FOXP1 Syndrome.
The one mission can be described with one word LOVE:
Love to Vitto
Love to Camino
Love to Kind Beter Fondation
Love to all children with FOXP1 syndrome because our children are OUR FUTURE!
