We are fund raising to cover the costs for the second annual "Camino de los Burros" in Santa Fe. This event is a precession of burros walking through the heart of Santa Fe's historic district in honor all of New Mexico's donkeys, past and present. The route will include the St. Francis Cathedral, the Palace of the Governors, the plaza and Burro Alley. This event is scheduled for Saturday May 10th, starting at the St. Francis Cathedral parking lot on Cathedral Place at 9.00 am. We plan to take an hour walking past the Palace of the Governors, down to the north entrance of Burro Alley, then through the alley, where we will place a wreath at the statue of the donkey at the south entrance, then up San Francisco Street (east,) circle the plaza once and then back to the cathedral parking lot for a meet and greet with any members of public interested in meeting the donkeys.
