It's hard to ask for financial help. But so many of you have offered, so here it is.

This Go Fund Me page is to ask for assistance with hotel expenses while I am staying in Sacramento, caring for my father, Camilo. The goal is set at $2000 to cover hotels and meals as his time in the hospital has extended beyond what we were expecting.

Camilo was scheduled for a heart valve replacement (TAVR) surgery Friday, September 18. The recovery was supposed to take one to two nights. I planned to have him home by Monday and booked four hotel nights close to the hospital at $530.
 
After his surgery Friday, it was determined he would need a pacemaker. During that second procedure, it was determined that he needed to be placed on a ventilator and dialysis until he kidneys could recover.

Four nights have become eight and we have more to go.

We still have a few more days of dialysis until he can be moved out of ICU to a normal hospital room. We don't know how many more days until he can be discharged from the hospital. In the meantime, I am here, by his side to comfort and guide him, to sign all the consent forms, and get him home safely when it is all over.

These funds will help pay for extended hotel nights and related expenses to see him through this.
