Camille's Fund for At-Risk Animals

On Thursday April 11th, 2024 our beloved Camille passed unexpectedly from an allergic reaction to fire ant bites.

Camille's wild and unbridled spirit captured all of our hearts, and though her physical absence will be felt enormously we hope this empty space will give way to compassion for the lives of these animals to receive the love and attention she wanted for each of them.

As we all mourn this unsurmountable loss, we wanted to honor her legacy through her passionate love of animals.

All donations we receive will go to Austin Pets Alive! - a local nonprofit organization that Camille had visited and would have adopted every single dog if it were up to her. They are leaders of the No Kill movement, rescuing at-risk dogs from other shelters in the area. Just as Camille was a fervent advocate for the outcasts and the overlooked, this rescue's focus is on the vulnerable animal populations in the city in which she lived.

The organizer, Leah Giammarva, is a close friend of the family and has coordinated with them to create this fundraiser.
