Camille and Tyler’s Fertility Treatments
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Klean. This GoFundMe page is for my sister, Camille, and my brother-in-law, Tyler.
Camille and Tyler have been together for a little over 11 years, since July of 2012, and married for a little over 8 years. They have always wished for a family together. Let me tell you a little bit more about their situation... (Please read this in its entirety)
While my sister was serving active duty for the United States Marine Corps, she experienced her first miscarriage on February 2014. While at medical, she discovered she was pregnant on January of 2014 and eventually underwent an ultrasound, which initially showed 2 sacs and 1 heartbeat. After a series of further ultrasounds, they essentially discovered 3 sacs and 2 heartbeats. About a month afterwards, she unfortunately had a full miscarriage—awaking alone in her barracks to a pool of blood and a gash to her forehead.
After trying to conceive naturally for a year or so, they both eventually decided to pursue fertility treatment on April 2016. They saw their very first fertility specialist while my sister was still stationed in North Carolina.
Within the span of 9.5 years, they experienced a total of...

Throughout their experience, they remained hopeful and strong. But, as very few people may know, there are times when a Marine’s hope or strength will waver and falter. Times when they will tire. And times when they will doubt and question themselves.
Miscarriages are tough—not only on the individual and their significant other, but also their family and friends who love and support them. Not many people may know or understand the indescribable pain and heartache that accompanies this—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Or the feeling of hopelessness, despair, or sorrow. But, one can only hope that others can empathize.
As very few may know, they recently received amazing news this past July. News that they have been longing to hear after a long hard year of countless appointments, labwork, medicines, and injections. They were pregnant—all confirmed with a number of bloodwork and a steady incline of HCG levels. However, about a week ago, my sister unfortunately experienced another miscarriage. Eventually, a few days ago, they once again consulted with their fertility team about their potential options, which leads us here…
Now, before you make your preconceived notions and judgments, let me tell you why they remain hopeful about these fertility treatments to this day...
Alongside their new fertility specialist and his team, it was discovered that she had (2) different types of antibodies that attack the placenta. This is associated with Obstretic Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), a condition in which an individual’s immune system mistakenly creates antibodies that attack the placenta, thereby causing a miscarriage.
Please keep in mind that all of these findings were only recently discovered, within this past year, by their current fertility specialist. In other words, their current fertility team had performed tests/procedures that had not been done by their 3 previous fertility specialists. Hence, they were able to garner a clearer picture and adequately figure out what was going on.
Within this past year or so, their current fertility team has diligently worked on perfecting the accuracy and precision of their fertility treatment. Their next step would be to undergo embryo testing (biopsy and genetic testing), which are not covered by insurance, as well as another delicate procedure that has not been done by their 3 previous fertility specialists.
As of right now, they have a remainder of 2 egg retrievals left that are covered by insurance. Unfortunately, fertility treatments are very costly, even with the aid of insurance. In addition, although insurance may cover some of the expenses, the specific procedures and tests they need to continue is not covered by insurance. Therefore, I am starting this GoFundMe page to help ease their burden—financially and mentally.
Any donation (big or small) is profoundly appreciated and will all go towards covering the lofty cost of their fertility treatments. Your emotional support and prayers are also welcome.
