It's been 12 years since I heard the dreaded words, you have Cancer.  Thankful the Good Lord and my excellent team at M.D. Anderson, saved my life and I can write this today for a friend and family member.  Camie Crain heard those awful words in Feb 2019 and was diagnosed with the same cancer that I had, STAGE 3 RECTAL CANCER.  She started chemo and radiation in March of 2019, and they removed the tumor in July.  She continued with chemo treatments for months that seemed like they would never end.  In the cancer world the day they remove your tumor is the day they consider you cancer free, even if you are still taking treatment.  Camie was considered cancer free from July of 2019 until she heard those words again in November of 2020.  She was told she has Metastatic Colon Cancer, AGAIN.  She started chemo again yesterday but was told there was no cure.  My hope and prayer is that we can get her to M.D. Anderson to get a second opinion and they can give this wife, mother, sister and child of God the answer to so many people's prayers and restore Camie, she has a lot of life left to LIVE.  The only issue is that MD Anderson doesn't except her insurance and a cash price for her to meet with doctors and have the necessary tests is $17,017.00.  Many of you make look at this number and say that is too much, but you can never put a price on someone's life!  I understand this all too well and am forever thankful for everyone who helped me when I was sick.  Please give if you can, so she has the opportunity to go to a Medical Center that deals with this every minute of every day.  If you can't give, please send up prayers for this beautiful lady!
