On Tuesday, December 23rd, my brother Cameron’s life changed in an instant. Cameron was involved in a car accident that not only totaled his car, but also left him with serious injuries. Cameron fractured his C6-7 vertebrae, and now faces the likelihood of surgery to repair the damage. He has to wear a C-collar 24/7 until further notice from his doctor.

We are so grateful he’s alive and able to walk after such a serious accident, but the crash has left him with thousands of dollars in medical bills and unable to work for an extended period of time.

Just a week before the accident Cameron finished his EMT and the fire academy—two huge milestones he worked so hard to achieve. He was supposed to start paramedic school very soon, taking the next step toward his dream career.

The road to recovery will be long and difficult, filled with countless follow-up and physical therapy appointments. Anyone who knows Cameron knows how much he loves working out and how he uses it as a way to decompress and manage stress. Going from working out as much as he did to now not being able to lift anything more than 5 lbs has put a huge burden on him, both physically and emotionally. Not being able to do what he loves or support himself through work is a huge change. He’s doing his best to stay positive, but the financial burden is overwhelming, especially after just completing his training and with paramedic school on the horizon.

The funds raised here will go directly toward covering Cameron’s medical bills, physical therapy, and everyday expenses while he’s unable to work. Any support, no matter how small, will make a real difference in his recovery and help him get back on track with his career goals.
