Cam's Orphanage Marathon Run - Miranda and Dom

Hello friends,

We (Miranda and Dom) are running the Brighton Marathon on April 6th to raise money for Cameron's Orphanage Project.

Miranda is not very good at running, so is dreading this race more than trump dreads an empty fake tan bottle.

Dom is a marathon vet, so has set a distressingly ambitious time of 3:30, and is regretting making this goal public.

Some of you may have known Cam, some of you may not. He was our big-hearted, funny (and occasionally very annoying) friend who passed away in 2016.

His brilliant mum Amanda, set up the Cameron's Orphanage Project in September 2016 with help from his friends, colleagues and her partner James, cementing a legacy to improve the lives of an entire community.

The charity has built an orphanage and primary school in the town of Mkushi, Zambia, and has also developed the local school which now serves more than 1000 children.

The money raised will go directly to help support the eleven orphans in our care, as well as building and improving facilities at the local school. This is the beauty of a small charity like Cam’s orphanage.

In Amanda's words 'no matter how small a contribution may be, do not underestimate the power we have to make a positive change in the world. Most importantly for me, this is my final gift as a mother to my beautiful boy Cameron. Because a life that touches others goes on forever.'

ATTENTION:

Dom’s employer has offered to match all donations to this cause so PLEASE DONATE GENEROUSLY.
