Cameron's Miracle

Donation protected
Good Afternoon,

I am late setting this up, as Cameron was in a horrific accident on April 26th around 10pm. He was in the passenger seat traveling home for the weekend with his dear friend when they collided with a semi-truck at a high speed. With praise to God, the driver was unharmed and able to pull Cameron from the vehicle just before another semi-truck slammed their car from behind. Cameron suffered severe, life-threatening injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital in Macon for emergency heart surgery. The impact of the crash was so substantial that his heart had been knocked out of the sac it sits in. A stint was placed in his heart during the emergency surgery and all internal bleeding was stopped. He had a collapsed lung and remained on a ventilator for 4 days before transitioning to heavy flow oxygen. After the immediate emergencies were handled, the team of doctors determined that Cameron had crushed sinus cavities, his eye socket was broken, his collar bone was broken, both shoulders were out of their sockets, both arms were broken (one reuqiring very significant surgery for repair), 6 ribs were broken, his liver was partially lacerated, his pelvis was chipped, his hip was broken, his right femur was broken (also requiring significant surgery), and his ankle was broken. The doctors said 9 out of 10 patients would not have survived the accident. But, our God has other plans for Cameron. He is a living, walking testimony of God's miracles.

Cameron was released from the hospital and family was able to get him transported back to his hometown in North Georgia. Currently, Cameron is suffering with tremendous pain while the doctors continue to figure out the best combination of medications to make his daily life manageable. Because of the significance of his injuries, he is unable to bear any weight or make much movement for 90 days. He will then be able to start physical therapy and begin re-learning many skills and regain the strength he has lost. Until then, family and friends are working to provide around the clock care for Cameron's every need. He is a candadite for disability because of the magnitude of the injuries; however, it may take a few more months for that to begin covering his medications, equipment, and services. Until then, family are trying to pay for everything out-of-pocket, re-arranging work schedules, and even taking time off to ensure he is given all of the time, love, and care he needs during this time.

I know this family would prefer not to ask for financial help, but I know in my heart that God won't let those of us who love them sit idly by without offering a helping hand. Any money donated will go directly to Cameron's care - equipment, medications, supplements, medical bills, personal necessities, and so forth.

Please share Cameron's story with everyone you know. God has saved our Cameron through a TRUE MIRACLE. All of us who know this family and Cameron have had the true privilege of witnessing an honest-to-goodness miracle. Cameron is ALIVE. All glory to God. Now, let's continue God's work by rallying around him to get him better! Thank you all for your love, support, generosity, and prayers.
