Hi everyone, I’m Ashley Colvin and my husband Cameron Colvin is currently in hospice losing his seventeen month long battle to Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and very aggressive cancer. Cameron’s a veteran, did a tour overseas in 2014, and is the father to our one year old twins, Ava and Toby. I’m a 911 Telecommunicator for the Bentonville Police Department and going to nursing school with the ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Cameron was diagnosed with this cancer in October of 2020, and this was the last thing we were expecting at 24 and 31 years old. After seventeen months of battling this monster of a cancer, multiple surgeries, and several health complications along the way we’ve accumulated a few medical bills. Health insurance and the VA have covered a significant portion of everything, but not everything. I only have a minimal life insurance policy on Cameron through my work, and the last thing either of us thought to do at this age was start setting aside money for a funeral. Cameron’s main concern throughout this entire fight has been that Ava, Toby, and I be taken care of. Any funds raised from this will go directly towards paying off his medical bills, paying for his funeral, helping the twins and I survive on a single income, and establishing a college fund for Ava and Toby in memory of their father. We’ve had countless people reach out to us wanting to know how to help, and the main need we have right now is help with everything listed above. I’ll be posting updates as Cameron’s journey in hospice continues. Right now he’s rapidly declining, so I suspect that we don’t have much time left together on Earth.
