Cameron’s Heart Transplant Battle

Donation protected
Cameron has spent his 18th birthday in the ICU in Memphis after a heart transplant this July. Cameron was diagnosed with Danon disease several years ago which rapidly deteriorated his heart, requiring hospital admission and eventually a heart transplant. Danon’s disease is a condition characterized by weakening of the heart muscle (cardiomyopathy ); weakening of the muscles used for movement, called skeletal muscles, (myopathy); and intellectual disability. Males with Danon disease usually develop the condition earlier than females and are more severely affected.

His parents have been by his bedside the entire time in Memphis as he is working hard now on recovery and trying to walk again. It is looking like he is going to be there for several more weeks, or longer, depending on his progress. As you know it gets very expensive staying away from home for a long periods of time and the family could use our financial support. Every few dollars adds up, let’s come together as a village and support this wonderful family!
