Cameron's Crusade

Donation protected
Cameron Thompson is an extremely comical and smart young man, who is also very sweet and loving. He is 18 years old and is a senior in high school who, as you would imagine, is counting down the days until graduation.

He recently fell and hurt his right arm but didn't think it was serious enough to bother his parents about so he brushed it off thinking, "it's not a big deal". After some time had passed and his arm wasn't getting better, he finally mentioned what was going on. Jen immediately scheduled an appointment to have it checked out.

The initial MRI revealed some abnormalities so a biopsy was done and on Thursday March 9th, Jen and Steve received a phone call no parents of an 18 year old child should ever have to get.... "It's cancer".

Cameron is still undergoing further diagnostic exams at this time, however, the biopsy results confirmed a cancerous tumor in his right forearm that is epithelioid sarcoma.

Epithelioid sarcoma is a rare soft tissue sarcoma in young adults (typically ages 20-39) involving the upper extremities. At the very least, it will require surgery to remove the tumor. Further treatment plans are still being discussed, but chemo and radiation are far from unrealistic.

Anyone who knows Jen and her family knows that they would do whatever they could for someone else in need and this is our time to do that for them. There may not be much we can do for them individually, but by coming together we can try to help ease the added stress of growing medical bills. We all know that is the last thing any family should have to think about, but unfortunately it is a reality. Let’s help Jen, Steve, Kyra and the rest of their family to focus on Cameron's health. He needs all of the positivity and support his family/friends can provide during this difficult time.

Even the smallest donation is more than appreciated and will make a huge difference.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you all❤️

Further updates will be posted as they become available and with their blessing.
And although their permission has been granted to make this public, please keep in mind how sensitive it is and to respect their privacy. Thank you again!
