Hey, friends and neighbors. I assume almost everyone who will see this knows me, but just in case - here's the skinny.

My name is Cameron Lyle. I work for the local school district, with children with special needs.

I've just discovered that for the first time in two decades I won't be working for the district over the summer. This means I won't have the income to support myself and my family over the summer (I still have my normal job, I'll be back at work when the next school year starts).

So... I've got to survive for three months. I'm asking for $4,000, which will cover rent for two months, because I plan on doing everything in my power to find work over the summer. So what I really need is just enough to make sure the roof stays over our heads while I look (and in case what I find doesn't pay very much). Help with the basic necessities is where I'm at.

The news that I wouldn't have summer work dropped - of course - right before my birthday. If you know me, you know my birthday has been... Difficult, for a long while. If you don't know me, let's just leave it at "two morbid, awful things happened to me on two separate birthdays" a while back in a way that defies statistics.

So, for the first time in 17 years I'm actually asking for something for my birthday (my birthday is April 22nd, for the curious. Earth day! Hooray, planet!). I'm asking for help making it through an unexpected three month stretch of joblessness. A dollar, $10, heck - .50¢ helps. I don't expect to hit the full amount I'm asking, and to my friends out there - it really is okay if you just can't give.
