Please help me fund my Debut EP!

Hello folks! My name is Cameron Burke and I'm a musician; a songwriter of sorts. For the past 6 years I've been playing with 4 of my dearest friends, in a band called Ethics. I owe so much to those gentlemen. The amount of love and passion for this art form that grew out of our collaborations is paramount to the person I am today. And while my time playing in Ethics isn't necessarily over, we’ve considerably slowed down our activity in the past two years, as our lives have carried us to all sorts of new ventures.

All the same, my creative energy is as alive as it’s ever been, and I feel I owe it to myself and everyone who has supported my art over the years, to try my hand at investing more into some of my solo tunes. Alas, I’m recording my debut EP! I’m incredibly excited for this whole process, and cannot wait to share it with you all. Unfortunately, to make this project come to light, I need your help!

I’m currently in Graduate School at Lesley University working towards a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy, and as much as I love everything that I’m studying, the nature of the do-it-yourself student model doesn’t leave a whole lot of excess wiggle room in the funds department. So for this reason, I am hoping to raise $2,900 to cover the remaining costs to make this project a reality!

Here is a full break down of how all the donations will be utilized:

I’m working with a fantastic team at 37ft Productions, which is a great independent studio in Rockland, MA. (Please see below for additional information about the studio, mastering, and engineers I will be working with). I’ve already had the privilege of doing some pre-production work and playing a few sessions in-studio to start tracking drums. So far, it’s been a blast to see my music begin to take shape in this way, and I am thrilled to get back to it with your help! I can’t stress enough how much your love and support means to me. Thank you so much, in advance, for every cent you are willing to donate. It certainly won’t go unnoticed.

Stay tuned for more updates, I am very much looking forward to sharing my art with you soon. Much love to all you wonderful people.

Be well,

Cameron Burke

ps. Here are a couple shots from the first couple of days in studio!

Tracking in the works!

I'm glad Mr. Will Lynch was able to join me in studio to lay down some drum tracks. Good friends make the team all the deeper.

Richie loves wires. Oh and his vocals are pretty good too.

Will has the in-studio netflix game covered.

About the studio (www.37ft.com):

“37′ Productions is a Pro Tools HD|3 Accel studio based just 25 minutes south of Boston. We pride ourselves on what our clients have called “relaxed efficiency”: the ability to work fast while maintaining a relaxed and creative atmosphere. The most common statement people make when entering the studio is, “I love the vibe of this place!” Our extensive gear selection and rotating roster of studio musicians allow us to foster a creative environment for artists of all genres. Our goal is to work with artists in whatever capacity to achieve the best final product possible, often exceeding expectations.”

About the Engineers:

Steph Durwin:

“Steph Durwin moved to Boston from Canton, Ohio in 2010 to attend The New England Institute of Art's audio engineering program. Since then, she has produced and engineered for artists of Naked Ear Records such as Tony Savarino and Run Gazelle Run. She honed her engineering chops at Mad Oak Studios, assisting on numerous projects for head engineer, Benny Grotto, including "Stomp" and "Stroll" by Big D and the Kids Table, and various one-off projects for Amanda Palmer. She has also worked as the head recording and mix engineer for The Murdock Manor, a Boston local DIY production and design company. When she is not recording, she writes, sings, and plays guitar for the folk-rock band, Box of Birds.”

Zach Bloomstein:

“Zach has always had a passion for audio, growing up he was always recording sounds he found interesting. His passion soon turned into an obsession. Zach was exposed to music growing up and began playing guitar at a young age. In 2011 after graduating high school he began attending the New England Institute of Art studying audio and media technology. In the fall of 2013 he began working for the schools record label Naked Ear Records, recording a full length album for Jack Romanov. After the Jack Romanov album he continued to record albums on Naked Ear with producer Barry Marshall most recently recording an album for Peter Montgomery. In the spring of 2014 he began an internship at 37ft productions under producer engineer Sean Mclaughlin. Zach is now a staff engineer at 37ft and continues to record and produce albums on his own and with fellow engineer Steph Durwin.”

We offer the highest fidelity processing obtainable anywhere, from only the best pro-audio manufacturers. Our vintage equipment is scrupulously maintained and has been rebuilt and custom-modified by Alactronics for the finest possible sound quality.
