Cameron's Final Expenses
Donation protected
Friends, it is with a heavy heart that our family is reaching out to you with a request for your help, and your prayers. First, let us express our gratitude for the help and outpouring of love that we received from you a year ago, when we lost our beloved niece Krystal. Now, we come to you for help with the funeral and final expenses for her amazing cousin, Cameron Davis.
Cameron is my nephew, and he was 20 years old - after work, he picked up some friends, and was dropping them off before heading home to get some sleep. Things went terribly wrong, and he and his two friends were killed. Every time I think about this, I am reminded of all of the stupid things I have done, and how many times I have been luckier than I deserved. My heart breaks at the senselessness of it all.
Cameron was a great kid - loyal to a fault, funny and kind. He loved his friends and family, his dog Paco, and all of his nieces and nephews. Just a few days ago he was with us for a birthday party for his 11 year old cousin - laughing with the kids, teasing them, and trying to teach them exercises from his time in the Marines.
A graduate of Port Townsend High School, the Washington Youth Academy, USMC Boot Camp, Infantry Training and Accounting Classes, Cameron was back home, deciding what his future would look like, while working nights at a local seafood company.
Like most 20 year olds, he had more hopes and dreams than actual money, and the cost of all this poses a financial hardship for our family. Please keep our family, and the families of those affected by this tragic accident in your thoughts and prayers, and please consider donating if you can afford it.
Any funds collected above and beyond what is needed to cover Cameron's final expenses will be given to the families of the other victims, to help them in their time of need and heartbreak.
Thank you so much for your time, and consideration. Hold your loved ones extra tight, the next time you can, because you never know when it will be the last time.
