Hi, my name is Cameron. I am a second grade teacher who is about to marry the love of my life, Tyler. I have been dealing with chronic side pain in my back and chest for quite some time. Back in September, I finally had enough and went to the ER. They did some scans and found nodules on my lungs that had pneumonia spots around them. They ran a few tests, gave me some antibiotics and then sent me home. A few days later, the pain worsened, so I went back to the ER. They did more scans and told me the nodules had grown in a short time and needed further tests to try and diagnose the cause. They removed a lymph node from my neck for further testing. Then, I just had to wait. After a week, the results finally came back. I was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The doctors told me I needed to get in touch with a Fertility doctor ASAP to preserve my eggs because the aggressive chemo I am about to endure would likely ruin my chance of becoming a mother. Tyler and I saw a fertility doctor yesterday and we have decided to freeze our embryos to use after I beat this cancer!! The cost to start the process is $14,000. I would like to at least raise this so we can have a fighting chance of becoming a mother. The doctors also told me I could not return to work as my immune system would be vulnerable to the school environment. Any extra money raised would help to cover medical bills, prescriptions, transportation to and from appointments, as well as help with personal bills.
