Carlton Allen Strout Jr, passed away surrounded by his family on November 28th, 2020 after a long illness at the age of 63.
A proud Bangor football alumnus, he was a member of two State Championship teams and captain of the 1975 State Championship team. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1976 and continued to be an ardent supporter of Bangor High Athletics.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cameron Stadium renovation in Carlton’s memory. Donations will be collected here and the family will direct the funds to establish a memorial in Carlton's name.
Bangor voters recently approved a bond issue to renovate the Cameron Stadium complex. The renovation will include an artificial turf surface to replace the grass on the football field and an eight-lane, all-weather track. Several Bangor programs will be able to take advantage of the new artificial turf surface in addition to the football team. Both boys and girls soccer and lacrosse teams and girls field hockey will also be able to use it.
If you would prefer to mail in a donation, please make the check payable to:
Bangor School Department
Attn: Steve Vanidestine, Athletic Director
73 Harlow Street
Bangor, ME 04401
Please note in memory of Carlton Strout in the memo or an accompanying note.
The family thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and support.
With love,
Judy, Kristan, Whitney, & Jesse
