Remembering Cameron Thomas Scott

It is with a heavy heart that we share the unexpected news that Cameron Scott has passed. Our family has lost a good man and our community is worse for it.

As a young boy born in San Jose, California Cameron spent his formative years on the West Coast. He had a close relationship with his mother Heidi and brother Brian.  He was a worldly man, having seen much of the United States and abroad. After moving up north to Bellingham Washington at 22, he began growing and learning the hospitality industry, where he thrived with his passion and drive. He met Gina when working at Guissepie’s, Gina’s father’s restaurant. It was there that they fell in love.

Moving to Austin with Gina was one of the best decisions of his life. They found their forever home with a family close by and a friend group that became extensions of that.

He was exceptional at establishing a community around him filled with kindness, patience, and strength. Cameron had a fantastic sense of humor, he had a laugh that was contagious. Cameron had a fantastic head on his shoulders and welcomed people into life with the intention of it lasting a life time. He was excited to share the news about his upcoming promotion with plans for future bars and restaurants.

Cameron loved Gina so much, you could see it just by simply talking to him. His marriage was fantastic; filled with so much compassion, bravery, support and unconditional love. Cameron was the rock to so many people around him; helping carry the weight for those who needed it.

Now it’s time for us to try to establish a foundation for the Scott Family. You don’t get to meet such spectacular human beings like Cameron often. After battling a tragic fight, to my deepest regret, the world has lost a good man. Cameron would be so proud to see the love and support from the people that made his life what it was.

With the money raised, we will help the Scott family with funeral arrangements, hospital bills, and the daily bills Gina and Cameron took on as a team. It’s our chance to help the family where words cannot. It’s difficult not having answers as to why this would happen, but we must follow what we know and that’s love and support for Gina and Cameron.
