Asking for help is always hard, even more so when one of your main values in life is helping others to the most of your capabilities. You rarely meet someone considerate, big-hearted, benevolent, and helpful. Cameron is one of these rare people that you only meet once in a lifetime. Although faced with challenges throughout his life, Cameron persevered and worked hard, becoming a successful and accomplished family man while also giving the shirt off his back and taking in anyone who needed a place to stay.
Cameron and his family were renting a house when a tree fell on top of it during one of the recent storms. It crushed the beams all the way through into the living room, costing an estimated $126,000 worth of damage. The damage was so severe to the house that Cameron and his family could no longer rent or live there. With nowhere else to turn, he and his family relocated to a hotel. Because of this, the family's furniture, personal items, and other miscellaneous goods that were valued, had to be taken out of the rental. With nowhere to store their items, they got left on the street and subsequently got ruined.
Although trying to find a place to rent, Cameron has had no luck as he needs a bigger house as he has his wife, 2 toddlers, and 2 teenagers. With his whole life being turned upside down in the matter of two weeks Cameron has been tasked with finding a stable living arrangement for his family in a week or else face the actions of his children being possibly taken from him. After paying hotel fees for two weeks, and continuously trying to provide for his family, along with the costs of rentals steadily going up, Cameron has lost the funds to provide a rental for his family.
Cameron is the type of person that refuses to burden anyone he meets. However, when he disclosed his situation to his coworkers, explaining what dire of a situation he was in, we decided that it was time to get Cameron the help he couldn't ask for. He has found a rental however, he has to pay two months' worth of rent along with the security deposit. We are reaching for a goal of $2,500 and the funds that are collected will be given to Cameron and his family to pay for this rental and any other needs he might have in relation to his situation.
We've all been helped throughout our lifetime, now is the time to give back and help someone more than deserving.
