Cameron was taken to the hospital in North Carolina yesterday and subsequently rushed by ambulance and police escort to a hospital that specializes in heart surgery.

At this time it appears that Cameron has an enlarged heart with a leaky valve that requires open heart surgery - which is oddly fitting given his incredible generosity and friendliness - not to mention his unmistakable laugh.

FYI:  The medical expenses will likely go WELL north of $150,000 - but to ensure that we make our goal I will be increasing the goal as we go... 

It's still very early in the process and there isn't too much to share other than the fact that he's getting great care and is in the ICU.  

Like most artists / photographers / filmmakers - Cameron doesn't have adequate health insurance that suitably covers fancy police-escorted ambulance rides ;)

To all of his friends,  please consider pitching in to help cover these bills.

I understand that these are particularly difficult times for most if not all of us - especially financially.   But that makes it even more true for Cameron.

If there's one thing I would like to share,  it's that Cameron has always gone out of his way to take care of others who themselves had medical issues and covered many bills on their behalf.   

Let's pay that forward ... and let him wake up from this with a nice surprise and one less thing to worry about.
