Hi there, my name is Adam Golding and I’m a disability support worker. I’m raising money on behalf of one of my participants Cameron Eames. *All funding raised will go to him directly.*
Cameron is diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Depression and Anxiety. To top it off he has been homeless for about 4-5 months now living on the river. On Friday the 13th of September 2024 Cameron was robbed of all of his belongings.
That morning I went out to visit Cameron and bring him into town to get more supplies. There was an unknown lady in a white van parked up next to his camp site claiming to be out of fuel. Cameron offered up his fuel for her so she could get to where ever she needed to be. We told her we would be gone for an hour and a half.
Upon our return to Cameron’s campsite we had come to see the cruel act that had been bestowed upon him. All of his belongings had been stolen. Items included:
- Kings Generator (Blue)
- Kings 90L fridge
- Brand new Samsung A15 still in box
- Camp chairs
- Cutlery
- All his clothing
- Fishing gear
- Axe and Shovel
- All his personal information (Birth certificate etc)
- Flood light
- And various other things.
The only thing that wasn’t taken was his camper trailer that he had been staying in.
Cameron is a kind man that would never wish harm on anyone he quite literally would give up his last bit of fuel to “someone in need”.
This has really affected him negatively and I’m just hoping we can bring some light back into his life as a community and help someone in need. We are hoping we can get the community behind him and help him reacquire/replace his belongings.
I have attached some photos of today’s article in the Chronicle about what has happened. Jack, Cameron’s other support worker helped arrange that to bring awareness to his situation.
I just want to say a massive thank you to those in advance that do consider donating to Cameron.
