Cameron and his family fight AML leukemia.
Donation protected
We found out on 6/12/25 that our amazing 16-year-old boy, Cameron, has leukemia. Today, 6/19/25, we found out that it is AML leukemia. Tomorrow morning he goes under anesthesia to have an MRI and a chest port put in place for his upcoming chemotherapy treatments. My son Cameron is hands down the most selfless, caring individual I've ever known. Even with all that he is currently going through, he is still constantly asking if everyone else is okay with having to deal with this. He is currently at MUSC Children's Hospital, where he will have to stay for several months, and I (his father) will be right there by his side for every second of this fight.
A week ago, our entire world was flipped upside down, and I have this heartbreaking regret ripping me apart because I took so much for granted, thinking that life would just continue going. Then, something as devastating as cancer in my child has shown us all that we need to cherish and appreciate each and every day that we have with each other.
