Hello everyone, my name is Jacqui. For those of you that know me, you might know my super sweet and super talented bonus daughter, Camella! This page is to hopefully help her attend the college of her dreams!

For as long as I can remember, Camella has wanted to be a pastry chef and attend the school of her dreams... the Culinary Institute of America! Camella attended BOCES through high school and prospered in all aspects of school. She graduated with honors and she was accepted into the CIA like she always wanted!

However... we have hit a snag...

Financial aid is only covering a portion of Camella's tuition, $11K out of the $30K+ she owes per semester! Based on new circumstances in our home, Camella will likely get some more aid, but it probably won't be available until the second semester.

Camella informed me 2 days ago about an email and text she received from the school, reminding her of her tuition due. We called the school yesterday and tried to set up a payment plan for the $18K+ she currently owes, but they informed us that the payments can only be divided into 3 equal payments, and the first one is due August 13th! But furthermore, if Camella does not give the school at least the first payment by August 13th, she will be removed from her housing assignment and not be able to attend classes this fall!

Other than coming up with almost $7K in the next 5 days, her only other option is to find a co-signer for a personal loan... and unfortunately, her father and I did not qualify as co-signers :(

I have never made a GoFundMe before, and I feel awful asking for money from anyone... but this is Camella's future! If there is anything I can do for my kids, I have to at least try!

So, I am trying to raise the money for her first payment to the CIA. It's just under $7K. She will owe another payment on Sept. 13th, and the last on Oct. 13th... but we will cross that bridge after. I just want her to be able to go and get started, and then we have a month to figure out the next steps...
