Camelia's Medical Fund

My name is Camelia Daniela Lazar, I am 27 years old, from Bridgeport, CT and I have Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. I have been seen by Dr. Jerry R. Mendell, MD at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. I have already 2 genetic tests done, but my doctor would like me to have a muscle biopsy to confirm the genetic testing, because they showed that it is a possibility to have Duchenne muscle dystrophy. My doctor said that my condition is unique.
               Our family income is low, we don’t have medical insurance, and the biopsy is very expensive. It is a very important step to have the muscle biopsy because once we identify the real problem, the doctor could do some research to find a possible cure! My only hope at this moment is asking for some form of financial support to have this biopsy procedure. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any help, no matter the amount, will put me closer to fulfill my hope or a cure. Please help me as much as you can.
