I learned long ago that an opportunity might only come around once and we need to pay close attention so we don't miss out on something that could change our lives.
We have had a few of these said opportunities land in our lap this past few months.
The first opportunity came when our landlord wanting to sell our home and offering us the first opportunity to buy it.
We LOVE our CaVes so we quickly set into motion what was needed to make this happen.
It has been a busy month but all is looking good for us to own our CaVes in the first week of August!
The second opportunity is something that is for me, my growth both personally and in my career.
I have always wanted to learn more about the scarification (cutting) side of my art.
There is this brilliant fella that I admire that has been doing this for over a decade and is known internationally for his skills.
He started doing some classes this summer that I was unable to attend as they were in Eurpoe.
We spoke and he mentioned that a class in Mexico would be the closest he would be. A reasonable goal as it wasnt to happen until late this or early next year.
Then this happened..
I was in The Facebook and saw a post that he was coming to toronto and taking appointments.
I immediately contacted him and asked if I could possibly sit in on a session so I could learn and perhaps pick his brain.
He then surprised me and offered to do a class here for me.
To say I was excited would be a vast understatement. It only took a moment for me to realize that we were really not in a position to afford for me to take him up on his offer due to every extra penny that we has been put into buying our Caves.
It was then I realized I needed to find a different way to fund my education and here we are!
I am coming to you, my friends, for some help. I need to raise the $1500 for this class and I am hoping you will assist me so I am able to be a better artist.
In return I will be so very grateful, give you a big hug, a sincere thank you and give you great discounts on some scarification should you be wanting to express yourself with this style of body modification.
