I am a very good friend of Laurie Wirth and her son, James Sadowski.
I've known Laurie for over 25 years, and she is one of the nicest and hardest working people I have ever met. She is is a single parent, dedicated to raising James to be the caring young man he is today. He is a fun-loving, sports-minded 17 yr. old High School junior, also devoted to his mother.
I'm hoping to raise funds to relieve financial pressures brought about by James' illness and hospitalizations.
In November 2015, James was diagnosed with Primary Large B-Cell Lymphoma, a rare, very aggressive blood cancer. The tumor was pressing against his heart, so surgery was too risky.
Currently, he is undergoing an intensive chemotherapy treatment program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Although he has been responding favorably to the treatment, a high fever recently put him back in for another stay.
Laurie has stayed by James' side during his lengthy hospitalizations.
Unfortunately, this caused her to miss many months of work and the reality of everyday household living expenses has been overwhelming. They need help to get back on their feet, as soon as possible!
