CAMEDAL
Since the outbreak of the Anglophone crisis in late 2016, millions of Anglophone youths have been displaced both internally and externally. As the government of Cameroon battles with the separatist fighters, who are advocating for a separate state known as Ambazonia, life continuously become a nightmare to residents of the two Anglophone regions who are caught between and neither accepting orders from the separatist fighters or the government of Cameroon.
Both parties have been using them as tools to measure their strength and to prove who is in control of the territory. Vulnerable youths are becoming victims just by speaking up or by taking orders from one of the parties. Some are being used for sexual entertainment, others forced to join the fight, and just to mention these few. Cameroonians in Dallas (CAMEDAL), a group of Cameroonians in Dallas, Texas, who have come together to help each other and also support some desperate Cameroonian refugees migrate to the United States and start a new life.
Achile, his wife Melvis, and their three children, Divine-Praise, Divine-Grace and Divine-Favor are refugees whose lives being threatened, embanked on a perilous journey, leaving behind everything they held dear in search of safety and a future free from fear. Their journey is one of unimaginable torture, hardship, loss and life imprisonment if ever caught. We do not want to put their story in public for security reasons since they still seem not to have maximum protection in their current hideouts out of Cameroon. However, through it all, they have clung unto the hope of finding a place where they can rebuild their shattered lives.
Now, they stand at the threshold of a new beginning, but need your help to take the next step. Our target is to raise $12125 to help provide them with essential resources such as food, shelter and transportation for few months once they arrive the United States.
Your contributions, no matter how small, can make a world of difference in their lives and others to come.
Thank you for your support and for being part of this journey towards hope and healing for this family and many others.
