Hello, my name is Camden.
As many may know, I was born with a condition known as Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. This condition necessitated that I spend over four and a half months in the hospital. Additionally, I was born with several other underlying health issues, one of which is bilateral clubfoot. I am a spirited little boy who is eager to be active, and my greatest desire is to get my legs moving. Unfortunately, the complications arising from my clubfoot currently prevent me from doing so, which is quite upsetting. Thankfully, the SickKids Hospital in Toronto can assist me, but my parents require support to facilitate my travel and cover the costs associated with my appointments. I am very close to achieving my goals.
I have already undergone several casting sessions; however, due to my recent hospital admission in October, the doctors had to remove my casts. Therefore, I must start anew to regain the progress I had made, with the hope of ultimately enabling me to walk.
Moreover, my parents are seeking donations to alleviate the financial strain associated with traveling for my appointments, as well as for the casting and braces I will need.
The plan involves me being cast every two weeks in a new, fitted cast leading up to my major surgery. During this procedure, a tendon at the back of my leg will be cut to gradually realign my legs into a more normal position, with the aim of getting me on my feet. After the surgery, I will be fitted with a boot and bar, which can be adjusted to keep my feet positioned correctly. I will wear this for 23 hours a day, allowing for an hour of free time until I reach the age of three. Additionally, I will need to make frequent trips to Toronto for check-ups as I grow, to ensure my legs and feet remain properly aligned
