Cambridge Synchro SWIM A THON
Tax deductible
Thank you for supporting our athletes!
If you are using the online donation platform, please comment with the name of the swimmer you are supporting so they get credit for their hard work and effort and your kind support.
Cambridge Synchro will hold it's 3nd Annual Swim-A-Thon on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Our mission is to develop athletes, at all levels, by building both bodies and minds and instilling skills and values that will serve our swimmers throughout their lifetime. Through exposure to teamwork, competition, and goal setting, we aim to develop strong, confident and caring individuals who understand the value of physical fitness, are able to effectively work with others, and who believe that doing their best is more important than winning. Through their experiences with Cambridge Synchro, we hope our swimmers will also gain lifelong friendships and a love of synchronized swimming.
Due to COVID restrictions, this year we will combine an hour of walking/running with an hour of swimming. Each athlete has a goal of 2 miles to walk/run + 100 lengths in the pool.
This is our most important fundraiser of the year, and this year, most likely our ONLY fundraiser for this season, due to COVID. The funds raised will support our scholarship program, pool fees, competition swimsuits, coaches fees, and possibly help defray the cost of team travel. A percentage of our proceeds will go directly to USA Swimming Foundation, whose mission is to save lives and build champions - in the pool and in life. (www.usaswimmingfoundation.org)
There are several ways to donate:
DIRECTLY WITH THE SWIMMER: per step or quarter mile for their hour of walking or running and per length for their hour of swimming. This will help encourage the swimmer to go longer, go faster, and work harder. A flat donation amount is also welcome, cash or check. Checks should be made payable to Cambridge Synchro.
ONLINE DONATION: here you are! Please comment with the name of the swimmer you are supporting so they get credit for their hard work and effort and your kind support.
