Cambridge Half for Royal Papworth Charity
In March 2026 I will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon for Royal Papworth Hospital.
This hospital is very special to my family and I in providing important care and treatment for several family members over the past few years. In particular my dad, David, who suffered from a heart attack in 2023. At Papworth Hospital he was able to receive a life-saving stent which has allowed him to continue doing all this things he loves (such as watching me graduate as pictured above).
Royal Papworth Charity exists to support the ground-breaking work of Royal Papworth Hospital. With increasing pressures on NHS resources, the charity plays a vital role in ensuring the Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care, whilst also ensuring the development of new ways of treating heart and lung disease. Moreover daily exercise (not necessarily a half marathon) is an important lifestyle factor in strengthening your cardiovascular health and could prevent diseases later in life.
So hopefully you will be willing to give up your daily coffee, matcha or pint and donate to this amazing hospital!
