Human trafficking exists around the world as a multi-billion dollar industry. It is especially rampant in poor countries, including Cambodia, where impoverished parents often sell their daughters for extra profit. To learn more about and engage in the fight against this injustice, our team of five will be serving Why Not Now Ministries, Inc. in Phnom Penh, Cambodia this spring. Why Not Now works alongside other local charitable organizations with the purpose of prevention, rescue, restoration, and reintegration of children who are at high-risk or have been victims of human trafficking or sexual abuse.
What our team will do:
We will work at Esther’s House (Why Not Now's home for girls who have been rescued) to put on a Vacation Bible School program and share God’s love with them. We will also be serving alongside a few NGOs, including Agape International Missions and Iris Ministries, to help in a variety of ways and to learn about the different ways to fight human trafficking.
How you can help:
Our team is grateful for partners like you. We appreciate any financial help you can give for the two weeks we spend in Cambodia. All finances will be used to cover living expenses, travel costs, and materials for the children we serve at Why Not Now and the NGOs.
