“Here I am! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

About six months ago I was deeply struck by Isaiah’s immediate and eager response when the Lord called him to go for the sake of His name, regardless of the promise of a difficult ministry ahead. I sat with this passage of Scripture for a season and saw the Lord slowly begin to shape me and change my heart in mighty ways. Isaiah’s heart was that of a willing and surrendered servant of the Lord. Over the past six months, I have watched the Lord graciously break down fears, hesitations, and concerns I had through small invitations into obedience to His good and faithful plan. With the continuation of numerous little God stories over this season, it became more than evident to me that the Lord was calling and equipping me for oversea missions for this summer to be stretched and used for His glory in some of the furthest corners of the earth.

I am currently taking a gap semester from school to do a discipleship-service program for three months, called the Hawaii Leadership Residency (HLR) on the North Shore of Kauai. This season has been one full of the abundance of God’s heart as I have been intensely stretched in my faith as well as being blessed by sweet community and fellowship. Over the last month and a half, I have experienced the beauty of walking in step with the Father’s lead. He has so faithfully opened and closed doors in ways that are only evidence of His hand. I have been invited on this mission trip to Cambodia and Sri Lanka with Genesis Collective & HLR where we will support brothers and sisters in Christ in Eastern Asia through service with youth programs, property maintenance, orphanage service and care, street evangelism, and most of all prayer. This trip is the culmination of many answered prayers that align with the call to missions that the Lord revealed to me six months ago.
