My name is Marie, and though I was born and raised in Canada, my heart will always belong to Cambodia — the homeland my family was forced to flee during the Khmer Rouge. I grew up hearing stories of survival, strength, and sorrow, and now, once again, Cambodia is hurting.
In recent attacks from Thailand, innocent villagers have been displaced, and brave Cambodian soldiers are standing their ground with limited support. Cambodia is a small and struggling nation. Being targeted like this is not just an act of violence — it’s a devastating blow to a country still healing from past wounds.
It breaks my heart to witness this from afar, unable to physically help. But I refuse to sit in silence. The best I can do from here is to spread awareness and ask for your kindness and support.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Providing emergency aid (food, water, shelter) for displaced villagers
• Supplying basic needs and medical care for soldiers and their families
• Supporting local relief efforts and rebuilding community resilience
Even a small donation can go a long way in a place where resources are scarce but hope is still alive. If you can’t give, please share. The people of Cambodia need to know they’re not forgotten.
Thank you for standing with us. ♥️
