In mid July, I will be visiting the SHE Rescue Home in Cambodia with my church. The SHE Rescue Home is “a safe haven” for girls aged 5 - 16 who have survived trafficking, rape, prostitution, sexual exploitation, or are at risk. They provide the girls with education and vocational training, healthcare, counselling, financial assistance for their families and reintegration.

I was blessed enough to go on last year’s trip and my favourite story from while we were there was shared to us by one of the social workers. The youngest girl in the SHE Home had told the social worker that she wanted to go back to her family village, which for her was still an unsafe environment. The social worker encouraged her to take one week to think about it. We arrived at the end of that week and spent time playing games, doing crafts and sharing devotions with the girls. When the social worker asked her again, she said that she had decided to stay in the SHE Home because she felt loved. This is the heart of the mission: to show these girls that they are loved and to demonstrate the heart of Christ. With your partnership, I will be able to outwork this. Your donations are not just money, they are an investment into the futures of these girls and their families.

From the money donated, two thirds will finance my food, accommodation, and flights and the rest will be allocated as donations to the INO Projects and the SHE Rescue Home in the form of money and physical resources.
