Camaronal Wildlife Refuge
Donation protected
1 from 1,000 - this is the survival rate of sea turtles to adulthood. These odds worsen further when nests are raided by egg poachers.
100 from 1,000 - this is the survival rate of sea turtles to adulthood when their nests are moved and protected within a hatchery.
Improving the effectiveness of the effort to track and monitor nesting turtles at night = more nests moved to the hatchery = 100 more sea turtle adults.
These funds are being raised to finance red light drone capability to equip the Refuge Supervisor with this effectiveness tool, particularly during periods when volunteer support is not available, to support and grow the impact of his work at the refuge.
