Help Luis Rebuild After Being Deported to a Country He Doesn't Know

After living in the United States for over 20 years — since he was just a child — our dear friend Luis was recently deported to Mexico, a country he has no memory of and where he knows no one.

Luis was more than just a familiar face in Lakeway — he was a dedicated, law-abiding, tax-paying member of our community. He worked hard, gave back, and touched many lives with his kindness, integrity, and humility. From volunteering locally to simply being there when you needed a helping hand, Luis was a quiet force of good.

Now, he faces a heartbreaking and overwhelming situation: alone in a foreign land, without family, friends, a job, or a place to call home.

We’re raising funds to help Luis get through this incredibly difficult chapter of his life — to secure shelter, food, transportation, legal support, and the basics he needs to survive and rebuild.
