Cam and Sheri Guenther
In the early hours of August 3rd, Cam suffered a serious seizure, which resulted in an ambulance trip to the hospital. After several additional seizures in hospital, and after two CT scans and an MRI, it was confirmed that he had a large tumor on the front left side of his brain. After being placed on anti-seizure medication, he came home on August 6th, under the watchful eyes of his family members and awaited the next steps.
Cam suffered another seizure during the early hours of August 11th and had to be taken back to the hospital by ambulance. His condition was stabilized and he is once again back home. Cam has been referred to a neurosurgeon and is currently awaiting a further consultation and a surgery date.
Cam is 33 years old and is self-employed, working as a graphic designer and a landscaper. Cam and Sheri were married fours years ago and are looking forward to celebrating their daughter Molly's first birthday on Aug 20th. Cam's seizure took place one day following Sheri's return to work from maternity leave. Obviously, the emotional impact of this situation is immense as they face the loss of their aspirations and ponder what this might mean for their future.
Our desire for this fundraiser is that Cam and Sheri would be able to focus on Cam's health and healing and that some of the anxiety regarding their finances would be alleviated. The funds will be directed towards their day to day living expenses during this indefinite period while Cam is unable to work, and Sheri's work hours as a day-care supervisor will be reduced. We invite you to join us and help support them in this tangible way.
We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of encouragement that Cam and Sheri have received thus far. It has been greatly appreciated. Please continue to keep Cam and Sheri in your prayers.
